New World Rythm, American Masterworks for Chorus and Percussion

Join us for the rhythmic energy of these American choral-percussion masterworks:
· the New England premiere of Lou Harrison's epic La Koro Sutro (Heart Wisdom), scored for the multi-player American Gamelan and Esperanto-singing chorus;
· the world premiere of Where All Is Buried, the Singers' latest commission by Grammy-nominated composer Tarik O'Regan;
· A Good Understanding,a double-chorus work by Rhode-Island-raised Nico Muhly, whose music is frequently featured in The New Yorker magazine
· Three songs for chorus a cappella by Philip Glass
· Clapping Music and Music for Pieces of Wood by 2009 Pulitzer winner Steve Reich.
